Running in the morning is nice and cool, here in Orem. Clean air too.
Did I mention that the reunion doesn't start until Wednesday? Well, it's true. So today we spent time visiting family that live in the area. We stopped by the Fotheringhams and enjoyed pillaging their garden and eating fresh grapes, raspberries, and tomatos. I made a few fresh tomato sandwitches which were excellent. Grandma came by a little later and offered to make fresh BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) sandwitches, but I respectfully declined--four times (I was already full!).
Grandma made the sandwitches anyway.
Well, Melissa and I were very full, to say the least. You can't really say "no" to grandma. After our visit, we went over to Breton's home and spent time with him. I took advantage of his PowerBook laptop to download photos off my digital camera and burned an archive CD. It's times like this when I wish I had a photo-enabled iPod...
After dinner, we enjoyed FHE with the Otts. I prepared an on-the-spot lesson on baptism and Elise helped me (she gave a little talk on baptism at church a few weeks ago). As a family, we talked more about baptism and shared thoughts and a few scriptures. The next presentation was all about the Army Band. Melissa and I talked about our experiences, how the band works, and what I do (seems most of my family still don't know what I do for a living!).
Melissa is still reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner from Azkaban. I've started a few more books, including The Work and the Glory volume two and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
