We arrived late at Ft. Leonard Wood to the welcoming arms of a Drill Seargent. We were up until 02:30 doing some basic processing and introduction. Some of the recruits really need some hand holding-- confusing their left hand with their right and not following basic instruction. I have to admit that I was glad when some of the recruits got "smoked" by the Drill Seargent. The Drill Seargents really tried hard not to swear, but one recruit broke the Seargant down to a long string of explatives. When we finally made it down to our barracks it was only about an hour and twenty minutes until we had to get back up (4:00 a.m.) We had about 10 minutes to shower and shave until "lights out." Sleep was welcome after the 4.5 hour flight and 3.5 hour bus trip.
